I got a lot of very nice comments on the aerial videos that I put on Bronte's Blog. I must say that the DJI Drone is one of the coolest pieces of tech that I've ever got to use. Drones like this one are used for a lot of different types of reasons. From Oil companies searching for drilling sites, to Hollywood Movie companies getting that perfect shot, the video drone allows for a visual experience that is both personalized and broad sweeping to give a sense of understanding as to where and how the surrounding area lays in perspective to a single point.
DJI's Phantom 4 Pro was designed to meet the challenges of even the most demanding camera shots. With 4K capabilities up to 60 Frames per second, intense detail can be achieved for use later to study or to splay across a giant screen. The drone has a lot of built in tools for extremely steady flight, and safety from obstacles that might get in the way. Control is managed by a powerful remote that tethers to your favorite smartphone or tablet (both Android and iOS) with a free app that is available on the Play Store or Apple apps.
I really enjoyed flying the drone. It was fairly easy and automated. The only issue i really had was visibility of the screen on a sunny day. The DJI kit came with a hood to fit over the tablet screen, but it was kind of bulky and made it difficult to use the control sticks and push buttons on the touchscreen of the tablet. There is a headset available that fits over your eyes, but I like to fly line of sight for safety reasons.
As those of you who saw the videos can attest, the quality is awesome! And that is even smashed down to 720p for the internet.
Thanks
